Historically one of the most successful teams in BSB, Honda (UK) won the MCE British Superbike Championship in 2013 with Alex Lowes, before effectively sitting out the following season. Under the watchful eye of manager Havier Beltran, Honda Racing returned to action last year with a three pronged attack. It was however, to prove a somewhat challenging comeback.
Dan Linfoot produced the best results, and despite breaking his wrist at Brands Hatch in round 2, recorded a couple of seconds plus a couple of third place finishes, to make it into the Showdown phase, eventually finishing the year 5th overall in the Championship.
Unfortunately, Aussie, Jason O’Halloran, despite a magnificent brace of third place finishes at the Snetterton round, was to contest just half the season, before being sidelined with a broken thigh at Thruxton. At the time he was holding 5th overall in the Championship.
Jenny Tinmouth, the fastest ever female around the TT course, and the only female to have raced in the British Superbikes, was in the early stages somewhat overawed being in a manufacturers team, but to her credit, she settled in as the season progressed to record some solid performances.
All three riders retain their place in the team for the 2016 season.
