JG Speedfit Kawasaki
Seeing the ‘Big Prize’ sensationally crash from their grasp during the final race of the BSB Series at Brands Hatch last October, JG Speedfit Kawasaki Team owner Pete Extance has vowed that the Bournemouth based squad will do everything they can this season to lay that ghost to rest!
Understandably, both Leon Haslam & Luke Mossey are retained to do the job for the Official Kawasaki Team.
Dubbed the ‘Peoples Champion’ of 2017, Haslam’s record of being 3 times runner up & 3 times third overall in the domestic BSB Series, aims to put straight the disaster of last year, meaning nothing short of winning his maiden BSB Crown this season will suffice.
The hugely talented Luke Mossey continues riding for Pete Extance for a forth successive term.
His early form last year was ultra impressive, recording double victories at Brands, plus seconds at Donington & Knockhill. The Young Gun was sitting second overall in the Championship when he was sidelined with a serious back injury resulting from a high speed crash at Thruxton in August.
Providing he can stay clear of injury, there is no reason why Luke should not replicate his race winning ways this term. If he does, he should safely secure a coveted place in this years ‘Showdown’ phase.
‘Roads’ specialist James Hillier completes the Team line up. A TT winner in 2013, plus a further 6 second places & 3 thirds, he is also a member of the select club of riders who have lapped the Mountain Course in excess of 132mph! For ‘Roads’ only, team will be presented as …Quattro Plant JG Speedfit Kawasaki.
