Sponsored by ‘Bennetts Motorcycle Insurance’, the British Superbike Championship (BSB) is widely regarded as the greatest domestic series in the world. Year on year attracting world class riders, as well as support from the major manufacturers.
The Bennetts BSB Series is admired for it’s close, dramatic racing, regularly drawing tens of thousands of enthusiastic race fans track side to witness the excitement first hand. The series is also broadcast to a massive audience throughout Europe & Asia. As well as the feature 200+hp Superbikes, BSB also embraces a full support programme of races including Moto3, Supersport, Superstock 600 & 1000, Ducati’s and Sidecars.
The package was further widened last year with the introduction of two additional classes, namely;
British GP2….which allows for Honda powered Moto2 machinery that has been raced in World & European Championship competition, as well as new, independent constructor projects utilising any 600cc four cylinder or 675cc three cylinder engines to a technical specification similar to Stock 600.
The British GP2 class runs side by side with the Supersports, but are separately classified for results & championship points.
British Junior Supersport …..for riders aged 14 – 22 years. Being open to all manufacturers, the class is budget friendly and effectively mirrors the hugely successful FIM World Supersport 300 series.
In addition to the above, the British Talent Cup, now in it’s second year, and run in association with Dorna (commercial & TV rights holders for FIM World Championships) will again feature on selected BSB rounds during 2019.
