Moto Rapido Ducati is a dealer team based at Winchester, Hampshire. Owned by Steve ‘Wilf’ Moore they became involved in racing in 2003, eventually progressing to the British Superbike Evo class in 2011 with rider Scott Smart.
Re-tagged for 2019 as….. ‘Oxford Racing Ducati’, title sponsorship being provided by Oxford Products, a major global supplier of market leading motorcycle & cycle products. No strangers to the racing paddock, Oxford Products were involved in the sport in the ‘70’s with the likes of Robert Dunlop, Steve Hislop & Jim Moodie.
Currently a one rider team, Tommy Bridewell joined what was then the Moto Rapido Ducati set up, mid way through 2018 having just been ‘sacked’ by his previous team under rather strange circumstances!
Straight away he was at home with the Steve Moore set up. Indeed despite missing the opening 5 rounds, he only narrowly failed to secure a place in the ‘Showdown’ as a Title Fighter, but was still able to bring home the ‘Riders Cup’.
Retained for the 2019 season, and armed with one of the new Ducati Panigale V4R’s, Tommy B had a fantastic year and emerged as one of the stand out riders of the series, being the only one able to regularly take the fight to both Josh Brookes & Scott Redding. A seasons tally of eighteen podiums, including a win at Oulton Park eventually saw him rewarding the team with third overall in the BSB Championship.
One of the most popular riders amongst the fans, the fun loving & ever cheerful Tommy Bridewell is also one of the fastest & most talented riders on the grid.
The Oxford Racing Ducati team are firmly committed to build upon the success’ of last season & are undoubtedly one of the strong favourites to battle for this years BSB Crown.
